If you live in the Bay Area, you are no stranger to some seriously rough commutes.
Let's face it...there are a TON of people here and we're all trying to get to work at the same time.
According to the Metropolitan Transportation Commission, in 2009, at the height of the Great Recession, the average Bay Area commute was 27.1 minutes. Since then, it's grown by an average of four minutes region-wide!
The MTC recently published an updated list of the Bay Area's worst commutes. Here are the top 5:
5. Hercules: Average: 40.7 minutes
4: Oakley: Average: 40.7 minutes
3: Pittsburg: Average: 41.2 minutes
2: Brentwood: Average: 42.6 minutes
1: Antioch: Average: 45.2 minutes
