For The 1st Time In 55 Years, SF Has Canceled It's Cable Car Bell Contest!

For the first time in 55 years, the City of San Francisco will not hold a cable car bell ringing contest this summer.  

Muni operators said they are boycotting the event this year to protest the SFMTA slashing California Cable Car line late-night service, which was scaled back from ending at 1 a.m. to 11:45 p.m. late last year.
