Stephen Curry believes the Minnesota Timberwovles might have passed on him in the 2009 NBA Draft due to his love of golf.
Curry suggested that former Timberwolves general manager David Kahn opted to draft not one but two point guards ahead of Curry because the executive was spooked about how Curry's golf hobby would work out in Minnesota.
Steph said: "Everyone knows how much I love golf and play it in my spare time or what not. I think the word on the street was that he didn't draft me because Minnesota is cold and I wouldn't be able to play as much golf so I'd be miserable."
Thank goodness he loves golf so much! We are thrilled to have you on our team Steph!
