Orchard Supply stores will be closing all of their locations before the end of the year.
Parent company, Lowe's made the announcement on Tuesday.
Founded in San Jose in 1931, Orchard Supply has long-served the Bay Area for home improvements, plants, and other domestic needs.
The company filed bankruptcy in 2013 and was later sold to Lowe's for $205 million. Employees were notified of the closure Tuesday, and thousands of employees will be affected.
