There is a big debate going on in the East Bay right now:
When is it okay to pick your neighbors produce?
This is an issue in Berkley where one man caught someone on a walk, passing his house and picking his fruit off of his trees. This same guy said he was on a walk the other night and saw a couple of men wearing knee pads, carrying a long stick and carrying a head lamp. They were climbing over someone's fence and poaching fruit from their tree.
He posted about it on Facebook and the debate is in full force. Here's what one person said: "I believe once a fruit branch extends over your fence or over the sidewalk, the fruit on that branch is available to the public," was one early response to Davis' post.
What do you think?
