It's finally here! Shake Shack is opening soon in the Bay Area!
The first of three planned locations could open in Palo Alto, as early as the end of October. A second location in Larkspur shouldn't be too far behind and by next year the chain should be serving burgers here in San Francisco.
While the new locations will feature Shake Shack's usual juicy burgers and crinkle cut fries, there will also be a few new menu items exclusive to the Bay Area.
How about a chocolate frozen custard (or "concrete" as Shake Shack calls them) using Dandelion Chocolate, a San Francisco-based chocolatier???
Another frozen custard is said to incorporate chocolate chip cookies from Los Gatos' Manresa Bread.
A locally inspired burger is also on the way. Shake Shack did something similar when it expanded into Los Angeles, where it debuted a burger topped with swiss cheese, mustard and onions that had been cooked in bacon and beer.
