You've probably heard that Amazon has had a problem in the past with some of their drivers stealing packages. The issue is continuing to get bigger and Amazon realizes that they have to do something about it.
Management has started putting fake packages on some of their drivers trucks to try and catch the drivers in the act.
If a driver scans a package and the address comes up as invalid, the driver is supposed to return the package to the Amazon warehouse or alert their manager about it. But, some drivers are stealing the packages instead.
Management is hoping that with these "fake" packages, they will get a better handle on which drivers are walking off with packages that they shouldn't be.
