Every fall and spring, Californians and most of the rest of the nation switch to standard daylight saving time, many people don't like the change because you lose an hour of sleep but if this passes in the November 6th, election, you won't have to worry about that anymore. Basically the time we are in now would be permanent.
It's Proposition 7 on your ballot and yes, that would mean year-round daylight saving time in California if it passes however, the issue would still need a two-thirds vote from the California Legislature and a change in federal law.
