There’s An Official Petition To Change The Date Of Halloween!

As a parent, if Halloween falls on a weeknight, it's got to be tough. You work all day, come home, have to get your kid into his or her costume and then spend the evening walking through the neighborhood going trick-or-treating door to door.

When you get home, your kids will spend minutes or hours going through their newfound loot admiring how much "good stuff" they scored from the neighbors. You're up late. Your kids are up late and for them the next morning and work for you!

There’s an official petition that seeks to permanently change Halloween to occur on the last Saturday of October.

It’s officially dubbed the “Saturday Halloween Movement.” The organizers want it to be a full day of celebration instead of cramming it into “two rushed evening weekday hours” after school and work. So far, 33,604 people have signed — the goal was 15,000.
