A donut shop called Donut City in Seal Beach has been run by a husband and wife for over 30 years.
John Chhan and his wife Stella say that they love working together as partners. They say it's like coming to work every day with your best friend.
But last month Stella had a brain aneurysm and has been recovering in a nursing facility. It's made it tough for John to work also as he wants to spend time with her and the business is starting to suffer.
The community found out about John and Stella's situation and they are coming into the shop in droves and buying EVERYTHING on the shelves so that John can spend more time with his wife.
Just to put it in perspective, last Thursday, they were sold out of donuts by 10:30am.
One customer said: "The sooner we can get him home and get support for her, (the) better for both of them and the community."
