Recall For Jimmy Dean Frozen Sausages For Possible Metal Contamination!

More than 29,000 pounds of Jimmy Dean ready-to-eat frozen sausages have been recalled over a possible metal contamination.

Tthe recalled pork and poultry sausage links were produced and packaged on Aug. 4, 2018 and are identified as follows:

  • 23.4-oz. pouches of “Jimmy Dean HEAT ’n SERVE Original SAUSAGE LINKS Made with Pork & Turkey”

The recalled pouches have a use by date of Jan. 31, 2019 and bear case code A6382168, with a time stamp range of 11:58 to 01:49.

Officials say the problem was discovered on Dec. 10 when the USDA received a notice that the Tennessee establishment to which the recalled products were shipped had received 5 complaints of metal pieces in the sausage links.

If you have the recalled products, throw them away immediately or return them to the store.
