A Bay Area baker's obsession with panettone has gotten the attention of Oprah and now, as a result, it's one of the hottest holiday food gifts this year!
Roy Shvartzapel at La Boulangerie's 70,000 square foot kitchen facility in South San Francisco said he barely sleeps three or four hours a night, and oftentimes sleeps at the office in order to keep up with demand for his buttery, airy and luxurious panettone!
He was featured in the New York Times and now he's on Oprah's "Favorite Things" list!
