Southwest Airlines going extra mile for furloughed federal workers at Oakland Airport!
As we are now on day 33 of the government shutdown and you've certainly heard the stories of all of the workers that are STILL going to work even though they're not being paid, Southwest Airlines wanted to do something nice for the TSA workers at the Oakland Airport so yesterday, Southwest Airlines fed the TSA workers free barbeque throughout the day.
A Southwest rep said: "I think it's the little things. I think any sign of appreciation to let them know that we care about them goes a long ways."
