Seals Take Over Drake's Beach In Marin During Government Shutdown!

Because the rangers at Pt. Reyes National Seashore were furloughed during the government shutdown, the tourists stayed away. Then the elephant seals took over.

At Drake’s Beach they knocked over a fence and moved into the parking lot. Drake’s Beach usually is home to a couple of seals. Now 50-60 adults have moved in, and given birth to 35 pups!
