At least 25 motorists have reported engine trouble after buying gas at a Chevron station on Capitol Expressway in San Jose which also handles ethanol and biodiesel fuels made by Propel Fuels.
Propel admits there is a problem and is trying to figure out what went wrong.
Three pumps at the gas station have been shut down since Saturday after customers who purchased gas, noticed their engines stalling.
Friday, a Propel crew and contractor checked the in-ground tanks to find out of the fuels got mixed up.
The company is encouraging anyone who suspects they are having engine trouble associated with its fuel purchased at the Chevron location on Capital Expressway, should contact customer service at (800) 871-0733 or email the company at email@example.com.
