The Sierra was hit with so much snow over the last few days that several ski runs had to close because of white-out conditions and avalanche threats.
Alpine Meadows closed their lifts after six feet of snow fell during this last storm. Kirkwood got seven feet, and Sugar Bowl had to close because of sixty mile an hour wind gusts.
I-80 near the state line has reopened after being closed for a day and a half.
