If you think there are more potholes in Bay Area roads these days, it’s not your imagination. The heavier rain this season has created more of them than in years past. The weather also keeps crews from going out and fixing them in a timely manner.
In San Francisco, crews fill about 350 potholes in a typical month. Last month alone, they repaired 1,800. In San Jose they fill about 10,000 in a typical year.
Count on many more this year.
