Moviegoers Are Afraid Of Visiting Santa Cruz After Watching "Us!"

People who have seen Jordan Peele's new psychological horror film "Us" are saying that they are afraid to go to the Santa Cruz Boardwalk, with some swearing off the city altogether.

The film, which was released on Friday, is set in Santa Cruz, with the city's boardwalk playing an important role in the plot of the film. Lupita Nyong'o and Winston Duke, the film's stars, play a married couple, likely Bay Area residents, who are taking their family on vacation in the popular beach town.

While we don't want to give the rest away, we will say that the movie is apparently scary enough that people are swearing they will never go to Santa Cruz!

Have you seen the movie? How did it affect you? Do you think these reactions from people are over-the-top?
