Sting is bringing his musical “The Last Ship,” about a depressed English shipbuilding town, to SHN’s Golden Gate Theatre from Feb. 20 to March 22, 2020.
Sting will play Jackie, a feisty, conflicted union foreman, reprising the role he played to boost ticket sales on Broadway in 2014-15 (where Sting’s score garnered the show a Tony nomination).
Sting traces the show’s origins to his earliest childhood memories in Wallsend, England, watching throngs of men march past his door every day to work in the shipyards.
