I get it. The Bay Area is crowded. Whether you drive or take BART or MUNI or CalTrain, you name it, there are just a lot of people in the Bay Area and everyone is trying to get home at the same time every night.
But I think until you experience what it's like to ride a packed BART or MUNI train (or AC Transit bus, CalTrain, Ace Train, etc), you don't have an appreciation of what people go through with their Bay Area commutes on a daily basis.
I feel "fortunate" that I wake up in the 3am hour every morning because my commute to work is relatively light. But last night I worked a little later and rode BART home when people with standard 9-5 schedules ride and it was a good reminder of what the reality for most people on a daily basis.
Am I thankful that I don't have to do that everyday? Absolutely. But I sure have an appreciation for our Bay Area 9-5'ers.
Make it a good day!
