For the last 22 months, Caltrain has been trying to convert from a diesel railway to an electrified system and photos are now out that show what the new electrified cars look like!

The new trains will replace most but not all of the existing diesel fleet.
The trains will reportedly travel at the same speed as the current diesel engines, but trip times may improve slightly due to better stopping and starting.
