DIRECTV and AT&T U-verse customers can no longer watch Bay Area television stations KRON4 or KPIX (channel 5).
The change impacts consumers in 97 television markets. 120 television news stations are currently blacked out to consumers nationwide.
Nexstar, the owner of KRON4, is working to reach an agreement with DIRECTV that would allow the station to continue to broadcast on AT&T U-verse and DIRECTV in the Bay Area.
If you are NOT a DIRECTV or AT&T U-verse customer, your access will not be affected.
Bay Area consumers affected by the blackout are encouraged to contact DIRECTV and AT&T directly at 208 South Akard Street, Dallas, TX 75202 and by phone at 855-567-1569.
