The Fairmont hotel in San Francisco is charging an extra $30 for slow eaters at breakfast! However, this isn't an on-going thing thank goodness!
If you're visiting the hotel's Laurel Court Restaurant and Bar this week, you'll have to spend a $50-per-person minimum on breakfast in addition to an 18 percent “service charge” — and if you stay longer than 90 minutes, you'll be charged an extra $30 per hour.
The head of San Francisco Travel said that this is just "premium or congestive pricing" and is only in effect for the duration of the conference.
The 38th Annual J.P. Morgan Healthcare Conference is taking place from today to Thursday, Jan. 16th, so during that time, the additional charges are in effect.
Over at the Sir Francis Drake Hotel, space in the lobby is going for $300 for a three-hour time slot.
