San Francisco resident Emilie Talermo tied her 5-year-old miniature Australian shepherd named Jackson up in front of a store as she ran in for some groceries in December of 2019. When she came out, he was gone. Video footage showed a man wearing a hoodie walking toward the bench where Jackson had been tied up.
Emilie has searched for her dog every single day since he went missing. She offered a $7,000 reward. She even spent $1200 to have a plane fly a banner over the Bay Area with a message that read "Bring Jackson home!".
Earlier this week, Emilie got the call she had waited for every day since that awful day in December. Jackson was at a shelter in Los Angeles (Palmdale to be exact). A San Francisco Police officer drove to Los Angeles to pick him up.
Great work to ABC 7's Lyanne Melendez and SFPD for getting this amazing footage for us (we are still wiping the tears from our eyes)!
