Is here any limit to the things Ton Hanks could possibly do to bolster his “good guy” status? It doesn’t look like it.
8-year-old Corona DeVries lives in Queensland, Australia. As you might guess he’s being constantly bullied because of his first name.
Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson were quarantined for a while, in Australia, because they both tested positive for COVID-19. Corona wrote them a short note asking if they were OK, and in the note Corona also mentioned that his classmates were bullying him. Hanks sent the boy a typewritten letter, and the Corona-brand typewriter he used. Hanks wrote “Thank you for being such a good friend – friends make their friends feel when they are down.”
Hanks, who was the voice of Woody in the “Toy Story” films, hand wrote “You’ve Got A Friend In Me”, and included a supply of self-addressed envelopes so Corona could write back…..using his new typewriter.
Jack Kulp and Carolyn McArdle talked about it on the air! Listen below...
