The California Department of Motor Vehicles will reopen some field offices to the public beginning Friday after all offices were closed due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
Officials said the offices will reopen to assist customers with appointments and services that may require an in-person visit.
Twenty-five offices across California are set to open Friday. They will be open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., except on Wednesdays when offices open at 9 a.m.
Customers will be asked to wait outside the building until they are notified that they are ready to be helped. Officials say residents should expect longer wait times.
