We’re getting into what would “normally” be the busy travel season, and if you WILL be travelling, here are some of the changes you’ll see at hotels just about everywhere.
For starters, buffets will be eliminated, according to Intercontinental Hotels boss Keith Barr. Not just buffets, but you won’t see restaurants at all at his hotels. Instead you’ll see grab-and-go dining. No more crowded elevators either. Elevator capacity will be reduced to three people max, unless you’re with family members. Room service will be contactless. At the swimming pools, users will be required to remain socially distanced, and expect to have your temperature taken at the front desk when you check in.
Holiday Inns, Crowne Plaza, and Regent Hotels are all part of the Intercontinental chain of 5,600 hotels across 100 countries.
