Big changes are coming to Google employees as they prepare to return to the office on July 6th.
CEO Sundar Pichai said lunches will be distributed in prepared boxes, employees will undergo temperature checks and there will be no access to the company gym or sleep pods.
Masks will be required and Google will provide them. There will also be slotted arrival times and social distancing with desks. .
Extensive lunch spreads are gone and employees won’t be offered breakfast or dinner anymore at all.
Buildings will also have limited occupancy, with only 10% of capacity initially and growing to just 30% by September.
Employees do have the option to work from home indefinitely if they wish.
