While traffic in the Bay Area still appears to be lighter in nature, when people finally do go back to work, experts are predicting a "carmegeddon" of sorts, especially if people stay off of public transportation.
Sam Schwarts is a traffic consultant nationally and he says our rush hour commute could triple in length. Also, rush hour windows could increase from 2 hours to about 4 to 6 hour windows! For example, if rush hour here in the Bay Area is typically 7am-9am, that could change to 6am-11am.
