Now that major airlines and most airports require people to wear masks, the big hotel chains are requiring them as well. While the hotels have required masks for their staff members for some time, guests will be required to wear them as well.
The largest hotel chain, Marriott International, along with Hyatt and InterContinental Hotels Group said this week all guests will be required to wear masks at their U.S. and Canadian properties. The rule goes into effect July 27th. Guests will need to mask up in all indoor public areas of the hotel, including lobbies, meeting rooms, bars, fitness rooms, and restaurants.
Other changes include contactless room service deliveries, and daily room cleanings will be eliminated unless absolutely necessary.
