It was a close call on Lake Tahoe last week. According to the US Coast Guard a boat burst into flames around 4:30 Monday afternoon.
It could have turned out much differently if not for a Good Samaritan, who prefers to remain nameless. The man he rescued from the boat wants to remain anonymous as well.
When the Coast Guard arrived, the boat was almost completely engulfed in flames. It was then that the only man on the boat jumped into the lake, and swam to the Good Samaritan’s boat. He was then transferred to the Coast Guard vessel.
