This is the time of year when retailers plan for the holiday shopping season. Target, and other stores, are doing just that.
First of all, Target will be closing its stores on Thanksgiving Day. After black Friday, that’s become one of the biggest shopping days over the last few years. Walmart and Sam’s Club will be doing the same thing. To keep crowds to a minimum during the pandemic, the biggest holiday deals at Target will begin earlier, in October. That way customers won’t have to worry about braving large crowds, and missing many of the deals that usually come later in the season.
Target also plans to make 20,000 more items available for same day delivery, as well as drive up order pickup.
