Say it isn’t so! An Irish pub in Spain has banned Neil Diamond’s “Sweet Caroline”. No more singing the Diamond classic in the bar.
The management at Murphy’s Irish Bar said the reason for the ban was to keep their patrons healthy. The tune is one that bar crowds love to belt out at the stop of their lungs…not such a good idea during the pandemic. So there won’t be any “touching hands, reaching out, touching me, touching you” ..at least for the foreseeable future. But we still love the song!
