A school district in Illinois is proposing a dress code for students even if they’re learning at home.
The dress code for the Springfield Public School system prohibits bandannas, hoodies, sunglasses, and yes, pajama pants. Lots of parents feel that the rule is too strict. One parent says the school system should “worry about teaching, not clothes. As long as they’re covered up, who cares?”
In a way, Springfield Public Schools kind of backtracked, saying they have no plans to punish students who don’t follow the dress code. Face it. It would be hard for PARENTS to enforce the code at home, since mom and/or dad are probably wearing PJ bottoms while they’re Zooming for work.
