Players and former football players at Union City’s James Logan High School have lots to be proud of.
They, along with some of their coaches were hiking up Mission Peak near Fremont, when they met Filipe hiking with his family. Coach Cedric Lousi said Filipe was in a wheelchair, and couldn’t quite make the final part of the climb. The team found an easier route for Filipe, and carried him to the summit.
Coach Richard Rodriguez said he was extremely proud, and he hopes that ‘this inspires others to spread love and compassion to all”. Watch this Tweet from Coach Lousi:
