San Francisco is in the process of setting up “community hubs” for kids who need extra support while undergoing distance learning.
45 of these hubs have been set up throughout the city so far, and eventually there will be a total of 100 such sites operating across the city. The purpose of the centers is to provide Wi-Fi connections and chrome books to kids who don’t have them at home. Help with school work will be available as well. Most importantly, kids will be able to play and socialize too. Right now the hubs are helping out about 800 students from K through 6th grade.
