Well, here’s great news. The SkyStar Observation Wheel in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park is back open for business! The 150 foot Ferris wheel has been closed to riders since November 29th of last year because of the pandemic. It reopened yesterday.
The operators are offering San Francisco graduating high school seniors a chance to ride it for free from June 2nd through September 6th.
The wheel was installed in March 2020 to celebrate Golden Gate Park’s 150th anniversary. It didn’t open for riders until October 21st, 2020 because of the pandemic. After the opening it only operated for 39 days before it had to be shut down because of a surge in COVID-19 cases.
Oh, and you’ll be able to win family 4 packs of tickets all next week at 7:40 on the Morning Breeze!
