After almost two years of enforcing one of the nation’s strictest mask mandates, the state of Hawaii will be easing up on their mask requirement. Since April 2020, Hawaii required mask use indoors AND out. Yesterday, Gov. David Ige announced that the state will stop indoor/outdoor mask requirements at 11:59pm on March 25. Masks will still be required in public schools, public transit & airports. The state will also their “Safe Travels Rules” that required proof of vaccination or negative COVID test in order to skip a 10-day quarantine upon arrival to the islands.
