Russel Thompkins

Russel was a member of a Philadelphia vocal group called the Monarchs who defeated another group called the Percussions in a High School talent show. Both groups disbanded shortly thereafter and the remaining members joined together to form The Stylistics in 1968. Russel Thompkins was the lead singer of the group from 1968 till 2000 when he left the group.
