Teenager started a business of making “Memory Bears” out of clothing of deceased loved ones.
For the last 6 years Mary MacInnes has been helping those missing their loved ones with “Memory Bears”. A student in Scotland, Mary studied fashion technology at Herriot Watt University in Edinburgh and made her first memory bear for a friend when she was just 16 years old.
Using a start-up and her expert sewing talents, MacInnes began making teddy bears with a special secret to them. These stuffed animals were not just cute faces—MacInnes made them from the clothing of people’s loved ones to help them through bereavement.
