Baby Alba was just 14 days old when she was adopted by Luca Trapanese. The little girl had already been rejected by 20 families for being born with Down syndrome.
In Italy, adoption laws exclude single parents from gaining custody of a child, unless the child has developmental disabilities of some kind.
