A book club brought together inmates and students from an elite prep school for boys, Palma School in Salinas, California.
The Palma School created a partnership with the Correctional Training Facility (CTF) at Soledad State Prison to forge a reading group for inmates and high school students.
Minimum wage in prison can be as low as 8 cents an hour, so raising $30,000 is no joke.
