World’s first’ lab-grown meat for pets launches in the UK
Britain recently approved the retail sale of lab-grown meat, with the first lab-grown meat product in Europe being dog treats made by a London-based company called Meatly. These treats are made from cells of a chicken egg grown in a laboratory and mixed with plant-based ingredients for nutrition. Lab-grown meat is considered more ethical and environmentally friendly, emitting fewer greenhouse gases and using less land and water than traditional farming.
