Penny Lancaster was left fighting tears as she opened up about a private moment in the car with her husband Rod Stewart.
The 55-year-old Loose Women panellist opened up about her marriage to the 81-year-old rock star during an appearance on Davina McCall's Begin Again podcast.
She recalled a morning school run with their sons when a disagreement broke out between the couple in the car.
During the argument, her husband suddenly demanded that she pull the vehicle over.
After she stopped the car, he turned around to address their children in the back seats.
He told the boys: "You need to listen to this. Mummy, I’m sorry."
"I shouldn’t have spoken to your mother like that," he added.
"We can have disagreements and we can say things that we don’t really mean, but we never want to hurt that person really."
"So you always say sorry. And that makes you the best man you can be."
Penny admitted the moment made her especially emotional.
