If you've got an upcoming trip to Seattle, there's something fairly common that you will no longer see in their restaurants.
Seattle is now the first major city to implement the new plastic straw and utensil ban.
500 million plastic straws end up in the world's oceans every year and city officials say this is all a part of their environmental efforts to reduce waste and prevent petroleum-based plastics from contaminating compost and polluting marine waters.
If restaurants don't comply after the grace period, they could face a $250 fine.
What do you think of the ban?
