We're guessing you've never uttered the words "I wish I could snack on some charcoal."
Apparently charcoal is becoming a delicacy and here in San Francisco at SoMa StrEat Food Park, a food truck park and beer garden beneath the 101 overpass, will host "50 Shades of Charcoal" on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
About 15 local vendors will be serving carbon goods at the festival, ranging from WoKitchen's charcoal shrimp dumplings to Batter Up's charcoal-battered corndogs. Dessert options include charcoal pastry puffs and charcoal Dole Whip floats.
"50 Shades of Charcoal," like many festivals that have preceded it, was born of social media trends.
