Mountain View resident David Casarez, who is 26-years-old and homeless put on a suit and tie and held up a sign at a median on the freeway in Mountain View the other day that read: “HOMELESS. HUNGRY 4 SUCCESS. TAKE A RESUME.”
And people did.
As a matter of fact, because of his creative approach and franky, guts, David is now sifting through 100's of offers!
David graduated from Texas A&M and worked as a General Motors web developer in Texas. But when he moved to California in hopes of creating a startup, he lost all of his money and the car that he had been living in. He has been sleeping in a park ever since.
Then Jasmine Scofield drove by. Asked if she could take his picture and post it on social media and it took off from there.
The tweet has more than 118,000 retweets and 186,000 likes. Casarez has received about 200 job offers, including from Google, Neflix and LinkedIn!
Today I saw this young homeless man asking for people to take a resume rather than asking for money. If anyone in the Silicon Valley could help him out, that would be amazing. Please RT so we can help David out! pic.twitter.com/ewoE3PKFx7— FullMakeup Alchemist (@jaysc0) July 27, 2018
