Teachers and students at Paradise area schools will finally be able to get back to class on Monday Dec 3rd. They lost all their facilities in the Camp Fire..... buildings, supplies, everything!
Administrators were able find enough temporary classroom space, but school supplies were hard to come by until two teachers got involved.
Monica Brown and Amy Niles put together a Facebook flyer asking for donations. The flyer was shared more than six thousand times, and donations started to pour in from across the country…enough to fill an all purpose room at a school in neighboring Chico. Paradise teachers will now be able to “shop” for what they need to restock their classrooms for free!
