Out-Of-Control Bunny Problem Menaces East Bay Neighborhood!

Domestic rabbits have infested the neighborhood of Almondridge in Antioch.

In March residents started noticing the bunnies everywhere: in the streets, on lawns, under cars, in their backyards.

Now there are more than 50 rabbits in the neighborhood. Residents say that the rabbit population descended from a pair of bunnies one of the neighbors kept as pets that were allowed to breed.

Residents have complained to Antioch Animal Services about the infestation, but they claim the center has not done enough to fix the problem. The neighborhood hopes the city will take action soon.
