Tarantula Mating Season Is Running LONGER In The Bay Area This Year!

Typically, tarantula mating season starts in late August and terminates by the second week of fall. But warm, dry weather in northern California has extended this year's mating season in the Bay Area!

Carolyn went on a hike on Mt. Diablo yesterday and ran into a sign at the base of the trail that was there to inform people about the fact that the trail may be full of tarantulas.

While Carolyn didn't see any, she passed several hikers who said they had seen some on the mountain!

Have YOU seen any on our Bay Area mountains yet this year?

Jack and Carolyn talked about it on the air. Listen below!
